The indigenous diamond deposits spatially and genetically are associated with kimberlite rocks. The kimberlite magmatism manifested itself during various geologic epochs (Precabrian, Paleozoic, Mesozoic). A study of regularities in location of the kimberlite tubes (explosion tubes) showed that they are mainly found in the external portions of the uttermost areas in the bend of the Earth crust that are most favourable for deep faults and breakout of magma to the surface (Strakhov, 1968).
